The Sexton Lab has a Mascot/Pet
Our apricot Pacman frog is here and growing fast. The frog (Modelo) has triple in size since joining the lab. Modelo is as big as a petri dish and taking a winter break.

Our Culex tarsalis colony is up and running
Adult Cx tarsalis hanging out in their colony. A blood fed female mosquito who will lay eggs. Larvae that hatched from the eggs and are getting close to pupating. Pupa ready to emerge into new adults for the colony.

April 4th, 2023: Undergraduate researchers, Caden and Nikoleta, ran their first DNA gel today. The first step in a long journey.
